This Privacy Policy applies to anyone who uses Resumii's website and platform, whether on a free account or a paid plan. Resumii is operated from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Our practices comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

2. What Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide you with a good experience:

• Account info — your name and email address, used to create and manage your account.
• Profile content — work history, skills, education, and resume drafts you enter into the platform.
• LinkedIn data — profile text you submit for analysis through our LinkedIn analyzer tool.
• Usage data — pages visited and features used, to help us improve the platform.
• Payment info — billing details for one-time credit purchases, processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.
• Communications — emails or messages you send us directly.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, operate, and improve Resumii's AI tools; save your resume drafts and personalize your experience; send account-related emails such as confirmations and billing receipts; send optional product updates (you can opt out at any time); and comply with our legal obligations under Canadian law.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone — ever. We do not use your resume content or LinkedIn data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

4. How We Use AI

Resumii's resume builder and LinkedIn analyzer are powered by Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic (anthropic.com). When you use these features, the content you provide is sent to Anthropic's API solely to generate results for you. We do not permit Anthropic to use your data to train their models under our agreement, and your content is not retained by them beyond what is needed to process your request.

AI-generated outputs are a starting point — always review suggestions for accuracy before submitting any job application materials.

5. Third Parties We Work With

To operate Resumii, we work with a small number of trusted service providers. Each only accesses your data to the extent needed to perform their service:

• Anthropic — AI processing for resume building and LinkedIn analysis.
• Stripe — secure payment processing for credit purchases.
• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Upstash — rate limiting and platform security.
• Cloud hosting providers — to run and store the platform.

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect some functionality.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers in Canada or the United States depending on the provider. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, Supabase Auth, and Upstash rate limiting to protect your account. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by Canadian law.

8. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where required to retain it for legal or tax purposes. Resume drafts and AI-generated content are kept until you delete them or close your account.

9. Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct any inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and data, withdraw consent for optional communications, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. 10. Children's Privacy

Resumii is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Resumii grows and new features are added. When we make meaningful changes, we will notify you by email or through the platform. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
